I'm commenting here because it's the most recent, but I'm currently listening to your coming out story podcast. Good for you for blogging/ podcasting and talking about this!
I'm a 35 year old (ancient!) gay man living in Florida and I'm enjoying the fact that you share your thoughts so openly.
How I ended up finding your podcast is through iTunes. I've never listened to personal podcasts before, but tonight I was looking into finally starting one up that I've been planning for a long time. (Mine is going to be interviews!) So, I'm doing "research" and listening to you.
"Mount Sack" (sp?) is the funniest name!
When I was in high school and my good friend came out to me, he fully expected me to say, "Me too!" and then we'd fool around or become boyfriends or whatever. But instead I told him I was glad that he trusted me enough to confide in me and that my opinion of him wouldn't change one bit and that I had had similar thoughts myself in my life but that I was convinced that I was still into girls! He was disappointed, obviously! I kept my sexuality repressed for several more years after that!
Congratulations on being so out and sharing it with others.
Do you ever worry about "the wrong people" finding all your personal, intimate thoughts online? (I had an odd experience with a family member...)
Well, this is a long message to come from a total stranger, but I'm guessing you'll be okay with it. Ciao.
I just wanted to say great Poscast. I know you are in college. 31 y/o guy here, Georgia Tech alum. Make the most of your college experience -- so many memories when I was your age in college. Good luck! I just hope you find the time to do more Podcasts. Take care.
